After looking at my website traffic stats the other week, one thing was obvious:
More and more people are getting their Blogalism fix via a mobile device!
Here’s the evidence…

Mobile device stats - 1st Feb 2010 - 31st August 2010
Heck, even I jumped on the smart phone bandwagon earlier this year, so they must be starting to reach the masses now.

Blogalism: Mobile Edition!
Ok, so I’m not exactly running Facebook or anything, but visits from iPhones, Blackberry’s and Android phones have still nearly quadrupled since February this year. That’s quite a big increase – so I thought it was about time I started showing a little bit of mobile lovin’!
So, starting from, well yesterday actually, if you try accessing Blogalism with your iPhone, Blackberry, Android or other mobile/smart phone, you should be presented with a new lower bandwidth, faster loading, less heavy duty version of Blogalism that’s much better optimised for your viewing pleasure (see right).
If there’s anything that doesn’t quite work as well as it might, you can switch to the full strength version of any page using the link at the bottom of each mobile page.
Let me know if you have any problems with the ‘All-New Blogalism (Mobile Edition)’, otherwise, enjoy!
I must admit I do miss the lovely background & layout etc that you’ve worked so hard to create on the main site!! However, the mob version is pretty handy….
I did try to give the mobile version a similar look to the full version, but it didn’t really work, especially when you switch between landscape and portrait modes on your phone. I’m sure there’s a way around that problem but that was a bit too tricky for me to figure out.
Let me know how you get on with it though… can always turn the ‘mobile edition’ off.
Just jumped online to check your updates for our latest cinema outings (no sign of piranha 3d)… Mobile site is a welcome addition!
Well did you read my Piranha 3D review?
Chris – Installed mobile web plug in…..
Looks like I need to do something else? Any help…
I’m using MobilePress, I tweaked it a tiny bit, but it’s basically install and activate it on the plugins page.
Done…thanks Chris
Woo! The BroadPaul ‘Mobile Edition’ is live!
