Of course, when I say “We’re all”, I really mean “I”.
Oh, and when I say “off to” I really mean “went to”.

But, “I went to Wembley” would make a rubbish football chant, wouldn’t it.

Anyway, yes, I did go to Wembley Stadium yesterday. This will be the new Wembley. You know, the one that cost about £798m. One of the most expensive stadiums ever built. The second largest in Europe. The iconic home of British football. You know, that Wembley Stadium. Impressed? No, thought not, but here are some pictures anyway…

The pitch was actually a lot smaller than I thought it’d be, but I’m not surprised that the whole stadium cost £798m – the assortment of “luxury” soaps in the posh dispensers in the gents toilets probably bumped that right up. And, just in case you’re wondering, the trip was work related – I went to SMEX (Sports Merchandising Exhibition – I’m sure you can imagine the excitement that awaited me there), which explains the random blurry picture.
