Yeah occassionally I get a few random commenters. The Vermatik thing and the fake pound coin ones picked up a couple. I think it helped when I changed the Wordpress setting to allow anyone to comment, rather than requiring people to register first. Someone random did wish me a happy birthday too, which was nice.

Yeah ok but you have me and I'm worth a million readers...plus you occasionally get comments from people you don't know, that never happens to me.

Reading this got me thinking about why I blog and to be honest the best answer I can come up with is "because I enjoy it". I know that no more than four people ever read the thing, I know that most of what I write is complete rubbish that no one but me cares about and I know that if I stopped no one would give a crap. But it makes me feel better to get my thoughts and feelings out there rather than just keeping them in my head. And when people do reply to my posts it makes me feel good.

Personally I think that is more than enough reasons to do it.
