The Kingdom
I didn’t do any of the things that I planned this weekend (I hate it when that happens as I feel like I’ve totally wasted some precious “Chris-time”).
Instead, I drank some beer and watched England lose the rugby (not that I understand the rules) then drank some more beer and watched Lewis Hamilton lose the F1 title (but hey, at least Alonso didn’t win).
Ok, I’ll take part of that back - the beer drinking bit was pre-planned, but otherwise it was a total waste of a weekend.
Anyway. I did watch a film called The Kingdom the other day, so I can say something about that. The plot revolves around the World Police FBI saving the planet from a bunch of terrorists. A lot of things get blown up and there’s a few people with dodgy facial hair who say things like: “Dirk dirk Allah. Sherpa sherpa. Mohammed Ali. Jihad”.
Does that sound familiar? Basically, it ain’t the most uplifting film you’ll ever watch… in fact it’s borderline depressing with an ending that leaves you unsatisfied. 5/10.
By the way, kinda off topic… did someone pinch my idea or what?
