Hoodwinked

I’m sure as a regular Blogalism reader you’ll remember that I briefly mentioned Hoodwinked a while back. Were my good trailer/bad film fears unfounded?

Ok, true the trailer had a lot of the funniest parts included in it and the animation wasn’t the best I’ve ever seen, but the story was still very well put together and I just couldn’t help but laugh at the sheer silliness of it all.

I always try to avoid reading too much about a movie before I see it - this movie wasn’t quite what I expected and for me, ended up being more enjoyable for it. Think a cross between Shrek and Columbo and you’re not far off.

Hoodwinked was released in the USA last December! Sheeesk. That was a long wait. Was it worth it? Hell yeah! Oh, and the singing goat rules! Hopefully Japeth will “be prepared” (spoiler) for a bigger part in Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs Evil! 7.5/10

  1. Open Season - Blogalism Says:

[...] There are plenty of fluffy animals doing silly things to keep very young kids entertained and I did quite like some of the water animation, but otherwise there’s nothing of real worth if you happen to be over 4. It’s a 30 minute story stretched over 100 minutes. Not good. Watch Hoodwinked or Over The Hedge instead. [...]
