Remove date stamps from my blog posts, so it’s less obvious a month has passed without an update!

Yes, I realise that I’ve been quite slack updating Blogalism lately. But, I’ve been moving house…

Now you’ll have to admit, that’s a pretty good excuse for a bit of blog laziness, isn’t it?

It’s an even better excuse when you consider that it’s not easy moving house at the best of times. It’s even more difficult when you’ve got the world’s most useless, rude and incompetent solicitor working on your behalf, plus a new job to contend with, for a company under new management, and trips to Coventry, Lowestoft, Stoke to squeeze in, with a few flying visits to Peterborough thrown in for good measure. Oh, and a rented flat that you’ve been living in for six years to hand back to the landlady in a respectable condition containing 6 years worth of crap that needs to be either sorted, chucked or packed. (thank fook I wasn’t selling a house too!)

Trust me, it’s not been fun. Anything that could’ve gone wrong in the purchasing process, did so. Isn’t buying your first property supposed to be one of the happiest times of your life? Well, I dunno about other people, but I thought it was a ruddy nightmare. But anyway, I’ll not bore you with all that right now. At least things are starting to settle down just a smidge, with (hopefully), all the major stuff now out of the way. And on the upside, at least I’ve managed to cross one “thing” off my 43 Things list!

So, I hope to catch up with a bit of blogging over the next few days or so – perhaps even add a new ‘interactive’ website feature at some point. But in the meantime – here’s the sunset view from my shiny new lounge window, taken just the other night:
