Lightning 02-09-08
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any decent storms. Last year it just seemed to rain solidly for 4 months during the summer, and this year it’s just not been humid enough. The few flashes of lightning that we’ve had seem to have been either during the day (difficult to get a decent photo of) or just at a particularly anti-social time (like 3am on a work night!).
Last night though there were a few rumbles at around 9pm, so I whipped out the camera:
...and frustratingly, this was the best I could get. :-(
I’m pretty disappointed with that really. Only one worthwhile snap (above), and even that’s been hugely cropped (because it was a distant strike on the horizon, hence the crappy picture quality).
But since it’s the closest I’ve come in nearly two years, it’ll have to do!
