All Work, No Play
I went to the British Toy Fair today.
Almost everyone I’ve mentioned it to has asked me if the giant floor piano out of the film Big would be there…

Do you reckon that’s Sylvester Stallone’s sex face? Ewww! Actually no, I don’t want to think about that.
Rocky Balboa was Monday’s film. I must admit it was better than I expected, despite being a bit slow. No boxing for oooh, the first 75 minutes? So there was plenty of time to try and work out what cosmetic surgery old Sly has had done.
I reckon he’s had some kind of Roger Moore eyebrow implant, perhaps a bit of Botox and a hair transplant / toupee installation. Oddly, he’s kept his saggy granny-boobs (see above), so it seems he couldn’t quite afford the pecplants.
Yes I know, I know: “Saucer of milk please barman.”
So was it any good? Yeah, it was ok. There was a bit of an odd relationship develop in the film with some woman that Rocko met many years ago which didn’t sit quite right with me, but otherwise I was pleasantly surprised. 7/10.
I’m off to the British Toy Fair in a couple of days for work. It should be a larf. Apparently Lego have a good stand there, so that’s me sorted for the day.
Perhaps I’ll also be able to lay my hands on one of these:

…and speaking of MacGyver…
Wow first post of ‘07. Shame on me, ah well.
I was looking at the imdb earlier. Apparently, if you liked Lucky Number Slevin, you’ll like Smokin’ Aces. Hmmm.
To sum up the plot, Buddy “Aces” Israel is a wanted man. Primo Sparazza has hired Bobby Fingers to knock off Mickey Bricks, who is double crossing Eric Splange and The Wadge Twins in order to take out the aforementioned Buddy “Aces” Israel by popping a cap in his bottom. Well, something like that.
To be honest, I didn’t really understand the gory details of what was happening and got a bit lost after the first 5 minutes, but there is quite a lot of blood though if that helps.
I loved Lucky Number Slevin, but this was just bobbins. 5/10.
